We are very proud to announce the Levine’s Machines software series by Iconic Instruments, a new collaboration with multi award-winning British Producer/Engineer, Steve Levine, whose storied career includes working with New Wave luminaries, Culture Club, David Grant, and The Mood; Punk pioneers The Clash, The Jags, XTC; and other varied major Pop acts, such as The Beach Boys, Sailor, Motörhead, Ziggy Marley, West World, Gary Moore and many others.
The first in the Levine’s Machines series, the Levine's Machines - Drum Machine, is a perfect emulation of Steve’s original drum machine unit that appeared on all of his most famous recordings. The Levine's Machines - Drum Machine, being one of just roughly 500 units, is a rarity that not only has the provenance of being a central part of Steve’s career, but the same model appeared on so many hits from the 1980’s, including recordings by Michael Jackson, Prince, Human League, Peter Gabriel, Stevie Wonder, and many, many more.
The sound of the Levine's Machines - Drum Machine is instantly recognizable, and it can be tuned and manipulated (just like the original) to create a unique footprint for your tracks. But in addition to the original sounds and sound-shaping, the Levine's Machines - Drum Machine by Iconic Instruments offers a full-featured sequencer, and a full mixing environment, with channel and mix bus effects chains, which include Drive, Compressor/Limiter, Transient Control and 4-band British-style EQ, all modeled from specific classic gear that Steve used in the 1980’s. There are channel and mix bus send effects, which are emulations of Steve’s most-used 80’s-era digital delay and reverb units. Each channel and effect can be bused within your DAW to a unique output, so that you have the option of printing or mixing in your DAW, rather than within the Levine's Machines - Drum Machine. And finally, the Levine’s Machines - Drum Machine comes packed with 20 Mix and Pattern presets, crafted by Steve himself, to give you ready-to-use drum sounds, or to use as a starting point for your tracks.

The Drum/Mixer panel features drum triggers, and individual tuning for each drum, and a mixer section that allows you to control Delay and Reverb sends, panning, volume and busing for each drum. The Sequencer panel features a fully customizable 16-step sequencer with Step and Shuffle controls, as well as convenient Copy, Paste, Clear and Reset controls. The Mix and Pattern preset banks contain 20 of Steve Levine's carefully crafted presets, which can be locked to preview complimentary pattern and mix settings, or unlocked to suit your tracks.

Each drum and the Mix bus has its own full-featured channel strip containing Drive (with high- and low-pass exclusion control), Compressor/Limiter, Transient control and a 4-band British-style EQ, all modeled after Steve Levine's particular pieces of era-specific gear. The Delay and Reverb send FX are modeled from Steve's favorite 80's-era units.
The Drums section features clickable triggers, individual tuning for each drum, open Hi- Hat length control and the Clave>Rimshot switch.

The Mixer section gives you Delay and Reverb send control, panning and volume for each drum and Mix bus, and busing for each drum.

The Sequencer allows you to create your own custom patterns, or alter Steve's pre-built patterns. Use the Copy, Paste, Clear and Reset buttons to conveniently create alternative bars for your track.

The Play/Stop button latches the Sequencer playback to your DAW's playback, or decouples the Sequencer for standalone use or MIDI track control.

The Shuffle control delays the even numbered steps to create a feel that ranges from organic to a full-fledged dotted feel and beyond.
The Step setting determines the number of steps per bar, so when set to 16 each cycle of the Sequencer is one bar in your DAW.

The Levine's Machines - Drum Machine comes with 20 different 80's-era presets carefully crafted by Steve Levine himself.
The Mix and Pattern presets can be locked to preview the entire preset, or unlocked for independent use.

The Keyboard Mapping switch toggles between a chromatic note layout and mapping that conforms to General MIDI.
